Namaste/ Servus/ Hello!
I’m Shruti. I’m a 26 year old from Dehradun, India.
Yes, I quit my job back home. No, it wasn’t just to travel around the world.
I wanted to study, work and learn more about the German language and culture, that made me sell most of my spare belongings, pack my life in two suitcases and move from India to Germany a little over a year ago. I have previously lived in Poland, Indonesia and now call Germany my second home.
I believe in the concept of slow and meaningful travel and I’m in no rush to see X countries in the world. I believe in enjoying life through the lens of cautious and sustainable travel and that’s what I’ll continue to do for as long as I can.
When I’m not studying towards my second Master degree or working to fund the same, I’m building this blog to help fellow wanderers to decide whether a life abroad is really meant for them, how to navigate the various intricacies of being a non-European foreigner in Germany, how to learn the German language and how to include traveling in one’s life plans and have lots of fun along the way.
